About Circle K International
Circle K International, also known as CKI, is a collegiate organization that was formed in order to help the community through service. We are committed to working towards the greater good of the public and are determined to uphold the values of this organization. Formed under the Kiwanis International, CKI focuses among three important tenets: service, leadership, and fellowship. These three tenets are what defines Circle K and how this organization strives to better the world that we live in.
“Live to serve, love to serve.”
Service is the core element of Circle K International and without it, this organization would not hold as much importance as it does now. With each service project, Circle K members work their way towards making the community a better place.
Circle K International recognizes the potential of mankind and gives all college students the opportunity to find the leader in each of them. Members can assume leadership positions at different levels of the organization and with that, pave way to a future generation of active citizens in the community.
The idea of fellowship is key into understanding the power of this organization. With Circle K members across the globe, college students are able to meet new people and create friendships that will last a lifetime. You not only gain a sense of belonging, but also a family that you can rely on.
Circle K Pledge
“I pledge to uphold the objects of Circle K International, to foster compassion and goodwill toward others through service and leadership. To develop my abilities and the abilities of all people, and to dedicate myself to the realization of humanity’s potential!”
What We Work For
Every year, the Cal-Nev-Ha district of Circle K International chooses one District Service Initiative (DSI) and three District Fundraising Initiatives (DFIs) to sponsor and support for the year. Throughout the entire district, members are encouraged to help incorporate the DSI into service projects, as well as helping raise funds for the DFIs.
District Service Initiative
The new DSI for the 2019-20 term is Focusing on Education. Multiple schools across our district are underfunded and undeserved even though education serves as a stepping stone for many of us to grow and learn. This year’s DSI aims to enhance the educational experience of all students who are in these undeserved areas from K-12 and college level to special education.
